A fourth generation California native, Bob was born in Newport Beach in 1967. He lived in Huntington Beach, the Eastern Sierras, Reno, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Oakland, China, Japan, France, and now resides near the town of Philipsburg, MT.
His lifelong passion for the arts, nature, and the sciences guided him to pursue a career
A fourth generation California native, Bob was born in Newport Beach in 1967. He lived in Huntington Beach, the Eastern Sierras, Reno, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Berkeley, Oakland, China, Japan, France, and now resides near the town of Philipsburg, MT.
His lifelong passion for the arts, nature, and the sciences guided him to pursue a career in the animation and entertainment industry where he’s been creating award winning content for studios like Pixar, Disney, and Lucas Film for over 30 years.
His current work is focused on documenting the abandoned structures from a bygone era and landscapes of the Flint Creek Valley before they disappear forever.
His second set of paintings and prints are examples of his earlier digital works exploring more of an organic abstract sensibility of the design within his subjective paintings. (The "Power of 10" concept)
Bob’s uses digital paint programs in the creation of his artwork. The final pieces are printed with the latest archival ink processes on high-end art papers as one off paintings or limited-edition prints. He also works with various traditional mediums like watercolor, gouache, pastel, ink, acrylic, and photography.
Bob attended California Institute of the Arts, Film/Video Character Animation program, from 1985-89

Honors and Awards: Several Telly Awards, Aster Awards, Communicator Awards, and Horizon Awards. Official selection “Slamdance” International Film Festival 2009, “Winner” Grand Jury Prize: Best Short Animated Film "Blood Will Tell": Animation Supervisor.
